Mcfly - Tom Fletcher Nervous About Wedding Speech

McFly singer Tom Fletcher is ''really nervous'' about his wedding speech.

The guitarist is preparing to marry long-term girlfriend Giovanna Falcone in May, but admits he's not ready to stand up and speak in front of his bandmates and loved ones.

He said: ''The planning is going well but I have to write my speech on tour and I'm really nervous about it.''

Tom should possibly be more worried about what the rest of McFly - Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd - do for his bachelor party, as they are already planning some devious antics.

They told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''It might involve midgets and lamp posts.

''But we can confirm there will be a bathtub, a bowling ball and eight gallons of sour cream. We just want to have a good time.''

While Tom's pre wedding party will see some tricks played on him, he's sure that as the rest of his bandmates tie the knot, their treatment will only get worse.

He added: ''I quite like that I'm the first of us to get married as the last one is going to get the worst stag do.''

Tom, 26, announced he had proposed to Giovanna after seven years together in April last year, at the Sylvia Young Theatre School where they first met.

She tweeted her excitement soon after, writing: ''I have one question... Am I meant to take my brand new sparkling engagement ring off before I wash the dishes?I'm gonna be Mrs Fletcher!Xxxx (sic)''

After Taking Over Arenas, McBusted Will Take Over The Studio 4217870 News

It just keeps getting better in the world of McBusted. The pop-rock supergroup combination of McFly and Busted has been selling out arenas for the past few months all across Europe, and what originally just started out as an idea has been fleshed out into a full-blown phenomenon, and it can only grow from here. McBusted came to fruition officially on November 11 2013, when it was announced that the group would be taking on tour of eleven shows that eventually developed into a total of 35. Starting in April and ending in early June, the shows have been met with critical acclaim.

McBusted PictureMcBusted has been selling out arenas for their current tour

“This tour could easily have been joyless and desperate,” said a review on The Guardian. “Instead, the show is fun and idiosyncratic, this six-headed pop conglomerate proving far greater than the sum of its parts.” McBusted, however, is without a third of the original Busted members. Charlie Simpson (unsurprisingly) opted not to take part in the McBusted festivities, but he at least got a decent sum of money to let them carry on the name. It isn’t stopping Busted in its current iteration to continue its juggernaut status that it had in the early 2000’s. McFly, on the other hand, seemed to be on their way out after a couple of dud albums, but it seems like McBusted is reviving both bands and making them better than ever.

Perhaps the most exciting tidbit of news to come out of all of this is the promise of a McBusted album. Although it wasn’t announced initially, it was pretty hard to believe that a full-length wouldn’t result from this tour. On April 1, McFly’s Harry Judd revealed that the group would hit the studio after the tour concludes. Busted’s Matt Willis explains why they never announced music at first. "We always said that we weren't going to say we were going to bring out music, because we didn't want to say that we were going to make music and it be terrible. But we went away, we did some writing and it wasn't terrible,” Willis said in a February interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.

McBusted PerformingMcBusted will record an album following their tour

We may not have heard any official McBusted songs yet, but we’ll take his word for it. The only thing we do have to give us the slightest idea is a “McBusted remix” of McFly’s recent single, ‘Love on the Radio.’ Released in November 2013, this McBusted remix is essentially an instrumental of ‘Love on the Radio’ with Busted’s Willis and James Bourne providing vocals, and it is amazing. It got us thinking -- what other McFly/Busted songs deserve the remix treatment? ‘Crashed the Wedding’ featuring McFly? How about ‘Obviously’ featuring the Busted guys? It’s all too much excitement to process fully, but it’s clear that their upcoming music will be something special. Unfortunately, with the success of McBusted, it’ll put McFly’s planned full-length on hold until further notice. However, with an album made up of arguably the two best boybands around -- it’s hard to find a complaint.

Tom Fletcher's Wife Went Into Labour At Danny Jones' Birthday Party 4157395 News

McFly star Tom Fletcher's wife caused chaos at his bandmate Danny Jones' birthday party when her waters broke during a celebratory meal.

The British pop rocker became a first-time father on 13 March (14) when his wife Giovanna gave birth to a baby boy named Buzz.

Now she reveals that she went into labour while enjoying a birthday dinner with Jones, who turned 28 on 12 March (14).

In her blog for Hellomagazine.com, she writes, "I still had two and a half weeks left until my due date and had all sorts of plans for my last bit of 'freedom', but it seems Buzz wanted to come out and join us - eager to say hello to the world. In fact, we were out for dinner with all the MCBusted family (celebrating Danny's birthday) when my waters broke - so I'm pretty certain Buzz just wanted to be part of the fun. I can't tell you how giddy we all were when we left our friends in the restaurant knowing that the next time we'd see them we'd have a child."

McBusted To Play 'Biggest Show Of Our Lives' At Hyde Park Next Year 3990250 News

McBusted announce the biggest show of their careers as they prepare for British Summertime Hyde Park in London on July 6th 2014.

McFly and Busted have taken the world by storm since they decided to team up as McBusted (minus Charlie Simpson), so much so that they have been forced to extend their original 9-date tour next year to 32 dates, to their utter amazement. And things are only getting better for this newfound supergroup as they were recently told they'd be headlining at the British Summertime Hyde Park next year, with special guests fellow boyband Backstreet Boys.

They have been posting messages to their followers on Twitter about a major announcement, yesterday (December 8th 2013) revealing, 'We have HUGE announcement to make on Monday morning...we cannot wait to tell you about it!' and eventually confirming, 'Have you heard? MCBUSTED ARE HEADLINING @BSTHydePark on Sunday 6th July.... Tickets go on sale Friday at 9am!' Their combined Twitter account also saw various re-tweets from each of the band members expressing their insatiable excitement.

Confirming the news, Penny Boyd, Head of Events and Filming at the Royal Parks said: “McBusted are the perfect family entertainers and we are excited to have them performing in Hyde Park. We are very proud with what was achieved in 2013 and winning two industry awards in a first year is testament to the event’s success.

“Working with our partners AEG Live, we not only delivered a truly unique event for Central London, we also raised the bar in terms of sustainability, customer experience and service and local engagement. We are looking forward to building on that success and continuing the great work for 2014.”

"This is gonna be the biggest show of our lives', said Tom from McFly in an announcement video. 'This is gonna be the biggest show we've ever played. Potentially, the biggest show we will ever play.' Tickets will be available on Friday at 9am.

McBusted set to release new album? 3988016 News

McBusted are set to sign a huge deal to release an album.

The pop-rock supergroup - made up of McFly and Busted - are considering starting work on new material together, which would put the release of the 'Shine A Light' hitmaker's upcoming record on hold.

An insider revealed: ''Originally the plan was for McFly to release their new album before the McBusted tour.

''But the reaction to the supergroup has been so overwhelming it makes sense for the boys to focus on that.''

Singer and guitarist Danny Jones also confirmed the supergroup would be writing together soon - although he insisted they would only release it if the new tracks were ''incredible''.

He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: ''We're going to be writing a lot - we've written with each other in the past so we're excited to see what comes out.

''But it needs to be incredible for us to do an album, so we'll see how it goes from there.''

The six musicians - completed by Busted members Matt Willis and James Bourne and McFly's Dougie Poyner, Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd - also need to consider the fact Tom's wife Giovanna is pregnant, and her due date almost clashes with the beginning of their tour.

The father-to-be said: ''It can't even contemplate the possibility of that happening.

''There's literally a few dates between her due date and the start of the tour. But I have to be there for the birth, no matter what.''

Mcfly Announce New Single 'Love Is On The Radio' Released November 24th 2013 3908421 Press Releases

After 10 massively successful years together, pop superstars McFly return with 'Love Is On The Radio', the first single from their forthcoming sixth album. Available to download on November 24th.

With a more organic sound established on last year's hit 'Love Is Easy', it is a newly mature McFly shining throughout 'Love Is On The Radio.' With dashes of Americana and indie folk over a rousing drum beat, 'Love Is On The Radio' will surprise fans old and new.

Recently kicking off their 10th anniversary celebrations with four sold-out shows at London's Royal Albert Hall 19-22 September, McFly - Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd - now turn their attention to their first album of new material since 2010's 'Above The Noise.' Produced by the band and their long-term producer Jason Perry, album number 6 saw the boys decamp to El Paso, Texas, where they wrote and recorded together to capture the spontaneity of the song writing process.

Throughout their career to date, McFly have combined their winning, infectious pop and rock songs with their irresistible personalities and humour. This has seen them become one of the leading lights in the UK's music scene, with One Direction among others citing their influence - McFly have contributed to both of their albums to date, with another of their tracks due to appear on 1D's forthcoming third album. They've also become TV stars in their own right with winning appearances on 'I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here' and 'Strictly Come Dancing', as well as their own 'The McFly Show' special. Additionally, Tom wowed audiences on both sides of the Atlantic when his wedding speech went viral earlier this year.

In 2012 the band commemorated their 'Memory Lane' greatest hits compilation by releasing their joint autobiography 'Unsaid Things', which enlightened even the most dedicated fans with its new revelations and intimate writing.

McFly's new, as yet untitled, album will be released in spring 2014.

McFly give up rock 'n' roll 3618643 News

McFly are the ''opposite'' of a rock 'n' roll band.

The 'Party Girl' singers have put their wild days behind them now they have all settled down and hardly indulge in anything stronger than a cup of tea after their performances.

Drummer Harry Judd said: ''I can't imagine there's a less rock 'n' roll band out there. Imagine a rock 'n' roll band and we're probably the opposite.''

Harry's wife Izzy, bandmate Tom Fletcher's spouse Giovanna Falcone, Dougie Paynter's girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones and Danny Jones' fiancee Georgia Horsley all fly out to see the band while they're on tour and Harry is amazed they all still enjoy the group's shows so much.

He added to new! magazine: ''I'm always like [to Izzy], 'Aren't you fed up of us?' But she'd happily watch us every night. I know we're good, but to watch us ten times on tour is pretty keen.''

McFly: Marriage has made us old 3601752 News

Harry Judd and Tom Fletcher have turned into ''old men'' since getting married.

The McFly stars have become ''anti rock stars'' since tying the knot with their long-term sweethearts last year and have turned their back on wild parties in favour of gardening, knitting and watching TV dramas.

Asked how married life was treating him, Harry enthused: ''I love it! It suits me and Tom down to a T. We're like old men really. Me and Tom get excited about 'Downton Abbey' and Tom takes it a step further and does so many uncool things - he knits a scarf, or something like that.

''We're pretty lame to be honest. We're the anti rock stars! I love gardening, I absolutely love it.''

Harry became the second member of McFly to walk down the aisle in December when he wed Izzy Johnston, while Tom and Giovanna Falcone got hitched last summer.

Despite their decidedly ''uncool'' pastimes, Harry claims the duo were never as wild as their bandmates Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter and have always preferred to be at home with their partners.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the thank you party for the Royal Albert Hall Teenage Cancer Trust concerts on Wednesday (10.04.13), Harry explained: ''It's always been like that, we've never been allowed to go out! We all have our place in the band. Things change over the years, life changes.

''When you're young and you don't have a girlfriend you party more but we've always just liked to be in relationships.''

Harry also revealed he has gone on a health kick since discovering he has an ectopic heartbeat - which is also known as a 'wandering pacemaker' - cutting out calorific snacks and easing his training schedule for the forthcoming London Marathon.

He explained: ''I've cut out sugar and stuff from my diet and I've really been healthy about eating so it's not as bad. I've had to chill out a bit with the high intensity training.''

The party - which was hosted for free by London's exclusive Groucho club - was also attended by Eddie Redmayne, Blue and Noisettes singer Shingai Shoniwa.

McFly - Memory Lane: The Best of McFly Album Review 3465185 Reviews

The release of a second Greatest Hits album in less than five years might seem a bit excessive for some artists, but riding high on recent various reality show wins, autobiography releases and infamous wedding videos, McFly seem to get away with it. In their defense, they have released plenty of new material in this interim period; two-thirds of the tracks on newest compilation release 'Memory Lane' do not feature on the previous Hits album, plus there are three entirely new songs from the boys.

There is a great selection of tracks included, a range of favourites along with some slightly lesser known songs, but all spanning the eight year period since their debut was released to present day. Early singles Five Colours In Her Hair and Obviously hark back to the days when McFly burst onto the scene with their infectious bubblegum pop sound and innocent lyrics. They may not be groundbreaking either lyrically or musically but their tunes are undeniably toe-tapping and great to sing along to. All About You remains one of their stand-out songs, so it's no surprise to see it included on Memory Lane's tracklist. With its string accompaniment, heart-warming lyrics and simple guitar melodies, it's no lie that every girl also wanted to be spun romantically around their kitchen after hearing this track.

Bigger McFly fans will know that from the start, the quartet wanted to include elements of their punk-rock influences such as Blink 182 and Green Day. It may have taken parting ways with their record label to do so, but Lies and One For The Radio gave them the opportunity to demonstrate heavier guitar riffs and lyrics answering back to the musical establishment. A definite departure from their more recognisable sound, these tracks still fit seamlessly in here amongst the lighter offerings.

The album also features singles Party Girl and the hit Shine A Light, which saw them take yet another direction, this time as a result of working with R&B and hip-hop producer Dallas Austin. However, the boys were not entirely happy with this style and the brand-new material included on Memory Lane is reflective of this as it steers back towards their more familiar sound. The laidback Love Is Easy proved to be a hit on tour and in turn was their most recent single, whilst Cherry Cola is a bouncing track with a catchy beat and cheeky lyrics.

Many dismiss McFly as 'just another boy band', but in fact this album proves them to be anything but. They are unafraid to experiment with different styles and veer away from the norm and in turn prove that they are pretty much able to tackle anything they put their minds to. This is a great collection of hits old and new and provides the perfect springboard from which they can launch their sixth studio album with confidence and ease.
