Tom Baker - Tom Baker Pays Tribute To Former Doctor Who Co-star Mary Tamm

British actor Tom Baker has paid tribute to his former Doctor Who sidekick Mary Tamm following her death on Thursday (26Jul12), branding her "a darling companion".
Tamm, best known for her role opposite Baker in the cult sci-fi TV series in the 1970s, passed away at a hospital in London after an 18-month battle with cancer. She was 62.
Baker admits he is devastated by Tamm's passing and has heaped praise on her, declaring, "She was a darling companion and wonderfully witty and kind. I'm so sorry to hear of her death."
Tamm's actress pal Helen Lederer adds, "Mary was such an energised, talented woman with a great twinkle in her eye and she was so very beautiful."
