Troubled rocker Todd Harrell has been ordered to relocate to Tennessee to be placed on house arrest until he stands trial there for vehicular homicide, after he was arrested for Dui in Mississippi while out on bail.
The bassist was suspended indefinitely from his band 3 Doors Down last month (Feb14), a day after he was found passed out in his car at a street intersection in D'Iberville, Mississippi and booked for driving under the influence (Dui).
His latest legal woe occurred 10 months after he was involved in a fatal car crash in Nashville, Tennessee, where he is due to face prosecution for the April, 2013 accident.
Prosecutors headed to Davidson County Criminal Court in Nashville on Friday (28Feb14) to request Harrell be placed behind bars until the trial, claiming he posed a danger to the public, but Judge Mark Fishburn instead ordered the rocker not to drive and asked him to surrender his passport and driver's licence.
A date for the trial has yet to be set, but Harrell has pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, violation of the implied consent law, and possession of contraband.
The musician, who attempted to deal with his substance abuse issues in rehab last year (13), was previously busted for Dui in July, 2012, when he was detained in D'Iberville after he failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into a pick-up truck.
