Tina Fey - Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Reach Out To Taylor Swift Over Golden Globes Joke
Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have reached out to Taylor Swift to make amends for their comments about the singer's love life during the Hollywood awards show.
The comediennes poked fun at Swift, who has been linked to stars including Jake Gyllenhaal and One Direction hunk Harry Styles, by warning her to stay away from Michael J. Fox's son, an official usher at the prizegiving in January (13).
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Swift was asked about the Golden Globes incident, prompting her to reply, "You know, (American Tv presenter) Katie Couric is one of my favourite people. Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.'"
Swift's comments about the jibe have prompted Poehler and her pal to address their remarks.
Poehler tells The Hollywood Reporter, "I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."
Speaking to ETOnline.com, Fey adds, "If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron. I did not see that one coming. It was a joke, it was a lighthearted joke."
