LATEST: Rapper T.I. could lose a lucrative advertising contract following his arrest for attempting to purchase an arsenal of weapons in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday (13Oct07).
The Bring 'Em Out star - real name Clifford Harris, Jr. - could be axed by car manufacturers Chevrolet after being charged with felony possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
Harris appeared in a commercial for Chevrolet in which he rapped and raced alongside All-American NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr.
A spokesman for Chevrolet tells website TMZ, "they are reviewing the situation."
Harris was taken into custody on Saturday (13Oct07) after he allegedly sent his bodyguard to buy three machine guns and two silencers from the cop, posing as an arms dealer.
The arrest took place hours before T.I. was due to attend the B.E.T. Hip-Hop Awards, where he was scheduled to perform.
