Rapper T.I. has been released from prison, according to a U.S. report.
The Live Your Life hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., was freed from his 10-month sentence on Wednesday (31Aug11), one month ahead of his scheduled release date, according to Tmz.com.
He was arrested for drug possession in September last year (10) and was later sentenced to 10 months for violating his probation stemming from a federal gun conviction in 2009.
A spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons tells the website the rapper was freed from jail in Arkansas on Wednesday and is "in transit" to the next stage of his sentence - which will either be home confinement or time in a "community living facility".
On Tuesday (30Aug11), T.I.'s lawyer played down reports he was set for an early release, insisting no decision had been made.
