Macklemore - Thrift Shop Returns To The Top Of The U.s. Charts After Five Weeks
Rappers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have returned to the top of the U.S. pop charts five weeks after their Thrift Shop hit was toppled by Baauer's Harlem Shake.
The duo spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year (13) and have since spent five weeks challenging Baauer for the number one spot.
In returning to the top, MACklemore & Lewis have set a new chart record for the longest spell between number ones in a single chart run - previously Usher and Ace of Base have recorded four-week comebacks.
Baauer drops to two on the new chart, while Justin Timberlake, who debuted at number one on the U.S. album chart on Wednesday (27Mar13), climbs to three with Suit & Tie, Bruno Mars' When I Was Your Man drops a spot to four and Rihanna's Stay rounds out the new top five.
