Thousands Attend Lost Preview

The stars of hit U.S. TV series LOST were left stunned at a special screening for the final season premiere - more than 10,000 fans arrived to watch the episode with the cast on a Hawaiian beach.
The show, which focuses on a group of plane crash survivors stranded on a desert island, has become a sensation in the U.S. but is set to conclude this year (10) at the end of the sixth season because TV bosses have "run out of ideas" for plotlines.
But fans proved they are still devoted to the show, queueing for up to 12 hours before Saturday (30Jan10) night's event to catch a glimpse of the episode and their favourite stars including Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway and Daniel Dae Kim.
Fans sat on beach towels and lawn chairs on Waikiki Beach to watch the show, which airs in America on Tuesday night (02Feb10).
Kim called the event "humbling, outrageous and a lot of fun".

WHAT?! The creators have "run out of ideas"?!?! The writer here obviously has not done any research on the subject! Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse (producers) lobbied heavily for 2010 as an end date to the series, over three years ago. Rather than milk their show till the ratings wore out, their final season will prove to be one of the highest rated of the series, due largely to their commitment to give a satisfying and well thought out conclusion to a structured story arc. Bravo to the crew at LOST for making a TV show work more like a book! I greatly anticipate one last epic season!
