Thom Yorke - Thom Yorke Would 'Sue' David Cameron If He Used Radiohead Music

Thom Yorke has promised to “sue the living s*it” out of David Cameron, should the UK Prime Minister use any of his band Radiohead’s music in his next election campaign.

The quote, reported by various sources including the NME, relates to an interview Yorke gave to print publication Dazed & Confused in which he was promoting his new project Atoms For Peace, which features Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea, producer Nigel Godrich and percussionist Mauro Refosco. However, as conversation tends to with Yorke, things drifted off towards Radiohead and political matters. "Politics is not a fun thing to write about” Yorke said. “I can’t say I love the idea of a banker liking our music, or David Cameron. I can’t believe he'd like [Radiohead’s last album] King of Limbs much. But I also equally think, who cares?" Continuing, he commented "As long as he doesn’t use it for his election campaigns, I don’t care. I’d sue the living sh*t out of him if he did."

On Tuesday (January 15), Spin reported that Nigel Godrich was teasing those eager to hear new Atoms For Peace material, by putting up tracks on the group’s Soundcloud page, only to take them down again. They have, however, got one new track available, ‘Judge Jury and Executioner’, which was made available last week, while debut album Amok is out February 25. There are also talks of live dates at some point this year.
