Thom Yorke - Thom Yorke hates 'supergroup' label
Thom Yorke wants to punch anyone who calls his band Atoms for Peace a ''supergroup'' just because they're made up of three famous musicians.
Thom Yorke hates it when people call Atoms for Peace a supergroup.
The Radiohead star formed the band with producer Nigel Godrich and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea in 2009, but hates the famous trio being branded a 'supergroup' so much he threatens to ''f**king knock [the] teeth out'' of whoever dares to call them one.
Thom, 44, also said he had no idea which of his many musical projects he is focusing on next, but promised fans more ''electronic crap'' once he has had a short break to recharge his creativity.
He reflected: ''What am I doing? I don't know, really. More electronic crap. I think I need a break at some point.
''I went straight from Radiohead into this. The break's, like, three days. That's all I need.''
While Thom's music with Atoms for Peace ventures into electronica, he doesn't really understand DJ culture and thinks the diva attitude which accompanies many big names is unbelievable.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: ''I don't like this sort of, get paid a lot of money and the DJ comes and he just f**king does his set, which is fine, because he knows it works and he's worked hard at it - but sometimes, you're like, 'Really? What, really? ''If I'm brutally honest, 90 percent of that whole culture, I don't get on with. I don't understand it at all.''
