THIN LIZZY have been forced to scrap two U.K. shows this week (begs22Jun09) to allow drummer TOMMY ALDRIDGE to recover from a car accident.
The group pulled out of an appearance at the Kobetasonik festival in Bilbao, Spain on Saturday (20Jun09) due to Aldridge's injuries and now concerts in Liverpool and Nottingham in England will not go ahead.
According to a statement, the drummer has snapped his collar bone.
The missive reads, "It's a real shame that our summer touring had to start this way. Tommy had an accident recently resulting in his collar bone being broken and we were hoping it would have healed enough for us to play all the forthcoming shows.
"But, after recent practice sessions and visits to the specialist, it became apparent a decision had to be made to regrettably bow out of the Bilbao, Liverpool and Nottingham appearances."
The British shows will be rescheduled.
