'The Woman In Black' Sequel Confirmed Following Box Office Success

'The Women In Black' is to get a sequel following the huge success at the box office of the film adaptation of Susan Hill's novel. BBC News reports that 'The Woman In Black: Angels Of Death' will take place 40 years on from the events of the first film and will be produced by legendary studios Hammer. It will be adapted by Jon Crocker, after the 'Kick-Ass' screenwriter adapted the last one.

In a statement Hammer professed its excitement at the forthcoming project, stating "We are proud and honoured to be working with Susan again on The Woman in Black: Angels Of Death, a wonderful new tale every bit as atmospheric and terrifying as its predecessor." They've every reason to anticipate success too, following its release early February, 'The Women In Black' went on to gross more than 75 million pound worldwide, a tidy sum. More than that though, it exhibited proof that former 'Harry Potter' actor Daniel Radcliffe was far more than just a one tricky pony, the hugely marketable star receiving favourable reviews for his role as lead character Arthur Kipps.

It looks to be a busy time for Hammer, with the film company only having recently announced that they have two more films in production. 'The Quiet Ones' and 'Gaslight' will both shoot in the UK.
