The Voice Tour Flops In The U.k.
18 June 2012The eight major acts who took part in the show earlier this year (12) were set to grace the stages of arenas across Britain throughout September and October (12) - but it appears there wasn't enough interest in watching the wannabes perform.
A spokesman for the tour tells the Bbc, "Unfortunately, The Voice UK Live has been cancelled due to lack of ticket sales - customers are advised to contact their point of purchase for ticket refunds."
It's clear the show failed to take off in Britain like it has in America - winner Leanne Mitchell failed to hit the nation's Top 40 with her debut single.
Now it is Australia's The Voice winner Karise Eden's turn to test the popularity of the talent show - the 19 year old, who was coached by Seal throughout the series, was crowned the winner Down Under on Monday (18Jun12).
Her prizes include a recording contract with Universal Music. Her debut album, My Journey, will be released at the end of the month (26Jun12). Her debut single was released after the finale aired.
