Miley Cyrus - The Transformation of Miley Cyrus Leaves No Trace Of The Disney Princess
Miley Cyrus, everyone - she's the first Disney girl, who's gone from pop to punk and in just a couple of years.
The world got a glimpse into the new, driven and rebellious punk chick, who seems to have stepped in to replace pop princess Miley Cyrus these days, when the star opened up to V Magazine about her career goals, her relationship and her reinvention. She also posed for some racy photos, decked out in leather and bearing more skin than she ever has before. But Miley’s comment on the whole reinvention goes something along the lines of “get used to it”.
"I'm going to change, I'm going to be different, I'm going to do what I want to do. I chopped my hair and bought a pair of Docs and never looked back," she insisted.
She might be going for the punk rocker look, but don't let it be said that Miley can't look refined, when she wants to.
But it’s not like Miley regrets her Disney days, oh no. She also explained for V that she’ll always be grateful for the start of her career: "I can never say that I don't love "Party in the U.S.A." and that I'm not appreciative of it," she said of her Disney days. "It would like my dad saying that he hated 'Achy Breaky.' It's what gives you everything that you have. I would never take it back."
We’re definitely seeing a new and improved Miley Cyrus. Whether the new music we keep hearing so much about will be good or even that different, is another matter entirely. But you’ve got to hand it to Cyrus: she managed the whole style transition without a single breakdown, and that’s something few Disney girls have succeeded in doing. Last but definitely not least, Miley opened up about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, in her latest attempt to counter the ever-present breakup rumors.
"I'm not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work. Every week, it's ‘Are they broken up?' because we don't see a photo of them," the young starlet explained. "I don't have time go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning…He gets up to work out at six and I come home at five from the studio. I put this record before everything, and I've never done that with anything. I've put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it."
Producer and pal Pharell Williams also chimed in about Miley’s reinvention, saying: "I kept hearing about his girl Miley who had this song 'The Climb.' And then there was the video with her locked in the cage…" he said."I was like "Ok, she wants out.""
And there she is - out and proud. Now if we could only listen to some of that new music we keep hearing so much about. In the meantime, check out the video from her V shoot below, or visit the website for some pictures.
