"When I first got the job I lived in Venice (California) on the canals and I didn't know Maura Tierney then, but she also lived on the canals and so when I met her, she thought I was actually disabled because I would practice at night after I put my son to bed. I would walk around the canals with my cane and practice the walk and she said, 'I used to sit on my little balcony and watch you'." Former E.R. star Laura Innes on fooling co-stars with her onscreen limp.
