The Temper Trap Impress At London Concert

The Temper Trap braved The Rain in London for last night's (11.07.12) sold out show at Somerset House.

The Australian indie rock band opened their energetic set at the venue's Summer Series in association with American Express, with 'London's Burning' and managed to make the assembled crowds forget the intermittent downpours as they followed it up with songs including 'Need Your Love', 'Love Lost', 'The Sea Is Calling', 'Rabbit Hole', 'Fader', 'This Isn't Happiness'.

New single 'Trembling Hands' also featured on the impressive set list which included tracks from their two albums.

Front man Dougy Mandagi praised the concertgoers for their enthusiasm despite the bad weather, remarking ''You're a resilient crowd'' and later adding ''Thanks for sticking with us''.

The group then closed the show with 'Soldier On' and their huge single 'Sweet Disposition'.

The Temper Trap - which also includes Jonathon Aherne, Toby Dundas, Lorenzo Sillitto and Joseph Greer - released their debut album, 'Conditions', in 2009, which gained them some high profile fans, including Bono singer U2.

He previously said: ''Something really exciting is that finally The Rock band is melting into clubland and experimenting with sounds that are not normally deemed authentic for the rock band.''

As part of the premium service delivered to Cardmembers, American Express handpicks the very best in entertainment through its award winning Preferred Seating programme. For more information visit Amex.co.uk/potential
