Stone Roses - The Stone Roses To 'Rule The World Again', Says Ian Brown

The Stone Roses will "rule the world again", according to frontman Ian Brown who told a close friend the Manchester band are getting back together. An official announcement of the reunion is expected on Tuesday (18th October 2011), but Brown has already given details to Bradford magician Dynamo.
Gordon Smart, showbiz editor at the UK's Sun newspaper, claims to have interviewed Dynamo at the 'This Feeling' nightclub in East London on Friday (14th October 2011). The magician allegedly received a text message from Brown, which he showed to Smart, that read, "We are going to rule the world again. It's happening". A press conference scheduled for Tuesday is expected to feature Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani and drummer Alan 'Reni' Wren. Speaking about the reunion, Dynamo added, "He said it's true. It is definitely happening. Ian's on great form. I'll be at the gigs. It's going to be massive". Over the weekend, a source overheard Elbow frontman Guy Garvey discussing the news at the Manchester Literary Festival, while promoters Sjm are reportedly planning a "super show" at the city's Heaton Park.
THE Stone Roses released their self-titled debut album, widely regarded as one of the greatest debuts of all time, in 1989. Following a poorly received second record, the band fell apart in 1996 amidst legal wrangles and group rows.
