Rolling Stones - The Rolling Stones Set For Farewell Tour?

The Rolling Stones are reportedly planning a farewell tour.

The rock veterans - Sir Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood - are planning a special celebration to honour 50 years in the music industry next year, and have revealed they are back in the studio to begin preparations.

Keith was reluctant to confirm whether the band will go on tour to celebrate the milestone, but admitted being back in the studio all together feels ''so good''.

He told the BBC: ''There's things in the works - I think it's definitely happening, But when? I can't say yet.

''We're playing around with the idea [of a tour] and had a couple of rehearsals - we've got together and it feels so good.''

The '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' hitmakers played their first ever gig at London's Marquee Club 50 years ago on July 12, 1962, and originally did a farewell tour of Britain in 1971.

The group has also reunited with their original bass player Bill Wyman - who was in the band until 1993 - and had a mammoth recording session, playing 50 songs in five days.

Ronnie said: ''I saw him last week and he was in top form, rocking. We also did a rehearsal with him a few weeks ago. It's like he'd never been away.''

Keith recently admitted 2013 is a ''more realistic'' time frame for the Stones to perform live again.
