U.S. crime drama The Killing has been axed.
The detective show, based on the gritty Danish series of the same name, won't be returning for a third season following the conclusion of series two last month (Jun12).
The news was announced by executives at America's Amc network on Friday (27Jul12).
Joel Kinnaman, who starred in the series alongside Mireille Enos, addressed the cancellation in a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, writing, "Couldn't be more proud of my team. Thank you for all of the support and feedback, it's all very much appreciated... I've learnt so much in the past two years."
It joins '10 Cloverfield Lane' and the upcoming ghost story 'The Conjuring 2'.
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for true rock 'n' roll lovers.
