The Futureheads - The Futureheads Releasing Festive Single
The Futureheads, The Overtones and Big Brother winner Josie Gibson are releasing festive singles this December.
The Futureheads are releasing a festive single, 'Christmas Was Better In The 80s'.
The British 'Beginning Of The Twist' rockers are releasing the single, an ode to the golden era of Christmas hits, on December 18, in a bid to get into the UK Christmas singles chart.
They join a huge line-up of artists who are hoping to reach the top spot, including painters and decorators turned vocal harmony group The Overtones, who have a deluxe Christmas version of their album 'Good Ol' Fashioned Love' coming out, preceded by their version of classic tack 'White Christmas'.
Another contender for the top spot is 'Big Brother 11' winner Josie Gibson, who has recorded a track written by The Cornish Wurzells which she is releasing as a charity single, benefiting The Children's Hospice South West.
Of the song, Josie said: "We're going to try and get to number one and give Simon Cowell a run for his money. He's going to hate me. People have really supported me so it's a pleasure to give something back. I can't thank everyone enough. It's been brilliant."
The Futureheads are presently on tour, as are the Overtones, who are supporting Peter Andre.
Both Josie and The Futureheads' singles will be released no December 18th.
