The Drifters - The Drifters Hit By Thieves On Tour
18 September 2012Veteran soul group The Drifters have called in police after thieves raided their tour bus and stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment.
The Sweets for My Sweet hitmakers are in the U.K. for a string of gigs and parked up at a bar in Nottingham, England for a meal on Monday (17Sep12) when the crooks struck.
The thieves broke into the group's van and stole laptop computers and iPads worth thousands.
Lead singer Michael Williams tells the Bbc the band is devastated by the incident but has vowed to continue the tour.
