The Darkness To Change Name

British rockers The Darkness have confirmed they are changing their name following the shock departure of frontman Justin Hawkins last year (06).
The trio, comprising Dan Hawkins, ED GRAHAM and new frontman RICHIE EDWARDS, decided to continue with the band after Justin Hawkins walked out of the group last October (06).
But the remaining members of The Darkness are now looking for a clean break, and are "days away" from finalising their new band name.
Edwards says, "I can absolutely confirm here and now that we will not be carrying on under the name The Darkness.
"We are literally days away from announcing our new name, when this is done we will be launching our new website and we sincerely hope that you guys will be paying it a visit.
"I can't wait for this album to be finished and for you all to hear it, it'll knock your f**king socks off!"
