The Dark Knight Rises continues to soar above the competition to land a third week at number one on the U.S. box office chart.
Christian Bale's final Batman outing grossed another $36.4 million (£22.75 million) to hold on to the top spot, ahead of the new Total Recall remake, which debuts at two with $26 million (£16.25 million).
The latest haul means director Christopher Nolan's superhero sequel has raked in almost $355 million (£222 million) in America alone.
Family comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days enters at three with $14.7 million (£9.19 million), while Ice Age: Continental Drift and new Ben Stiller film The Watch round out the top five at fourth and fifth place, respectively.
