Country stars The Bellamy Brothers are set to lift the lid on their private life and release their first memoir.

Singing siblings David and Howard Bellamy, who formed the duo in the late 1970s, will open up about their family and career highs and lows in an as-yet-untitled autobiography, due to be released next year (13).

Let Your Love Flow hitmaker David tells, "It's about our career and our family, basically. Our family was bizarre, in a good way. It was crazy, but it was always kind of fun and positive and uplifting at the same time, even though it was completely crazy sometimes. It's just about all of that stuff. It's stories about that and stories about our career. Our career has been interesting. It's been a roller coaster."

And Howard adds, "There's a lot that people don't know about our career because our life hasn't been a reality show. When we came up, you hid your problems; you didn't expose them. We would smile through them. People think of us as good time guys, and that's the way we wanted it to be. They don't think that we ever had a problem in our life, which is kind of the way we intended, but now we're going to tell the truth !"
