The Beatles Artist Dead At 89
Richard Hamilton, the artist who 'designed' The Beatles iconic The White Album cover, has died at the age of 89.
The pop art pioneer passed away on Tuesday (13Sep11).
His design for the cover of the 1968 Beatles classic was a simple white square with the band's name displayed.
He also designed the photo collage on the inner sleeve.
Hamilton maintained he only received $320 (£200) for his work with the Fab Four.
