The Beatles' Abbey Road Outtake Photo Sells For $25,000
The snap, taken by by Yoko Ono's photographer friend Iain MACmillan, reached almost double the expected price after it went under the hammer at Bloomsbury Auctions in London on Tuesday (22May12).
It was one of six pictures taken during the 10-minute shoot that produced the iconic cover of the band's 1969 album Abbey Road.
The rare photo shows the Fab Four walking the legendary London crossing from right to left - the opposite direction to the picture that appeared on the record cover.
