A - The Beach Boys Session Musician Paul Tanner Dies
A session musician who played on many of the THE BEACH BOYS' biggest hits has died at the age of 95.
Paul Tanner died of pneumonia on Tuesday (05Feb13).
Born in Kentucky, Tanner is perhaps best known for playing the electro-theremin on some of the Californian rock band's tracks Good Vibrations, Wild Honey and I Just Wasn't Made For These Times.
He was also a trombonist in the Glenn Miller Orchestra, with whom he toured from 1938 to 1942.
In addition, he released his own solo album, Music for Heavenly Bodies, and provided sound effects for U.S. Tv shows Lost In Space and My Favorite Martian.
Tanner also taught music classes at the University of California, Los Angeles.
