The Beach Boys Musical To Close Early After Just Six Weeks

The summer has ended early for the big-budget Beach Boys musical in Las Vegas - the show is to end after a disappointing six-week run.

Planet Hollywood bosses have opted to pull the plug on Surf: The Musical, which opened for previews on 29 June (12).

The curtain will come down on the show, which was never officially endorsed by the Beach Boys, next week (15Aug12).

It's not the first time a stage show inspired by the band's music has flopped - Good Vibrations failed to make waves on Broadway in 2005.
