Ted Nugent 'Insulted' By Fort Knox Concert Axing

Country star Ted Nugent is fuming over the U.S. Army's decision to axed him from the line-up of a concert at military base Fort Knox following his rant against President Barack Obama.

The rocker is a staunch conservative and proved his dedication to the Republican party at a National Rifle Association rally in Missouri earlier this month (Apr12) by insisting fellow members had to rise up against Obama and the Democrats when America goes to the polls in November (12).

He added, "We need to ride into the battlefield and chop their heads off in November."

Nugent was investigated by U.S. Secret Service officials over the comments, and was subsequently banned from performing at a gig at the Fort Knox army post in Kentucky in June (12).

And an angry Nugent is adamant the snub goes against the freedom of speech rights laid out in the U.S. Constitution.

He tells the Associated Press, "To think that there's a bureaucrat in the United States Army that would consider the use or abuse of First Amendment rights in determining who is going to perform at an Army base is an insult and defiles the sacrifices of those heroes who fought for the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights.

"There is nothing in my spoken word or written word that could be even wildly considered by any stretch of the imagination to be a threat to anyone."

I like music with a sense of humor so I love his stuff...but he's a moron. Last time I saw him Bush was still in office so he was happy. He stood on stage with a Rebel flag shirt and a guitar shaped like the continental U.S. while holding up an M-16 assault rifle screaming, "You can't do this in Russia ! " Right then I knew he was off his rocker.
