Mumford & Sons star Ted Dwane has thanked fans for their support after undergoing emergency brain surgery.
The British bassist is bouncing back following the operation to remove a blood clot from his brain last week (10Jun13).
A photo of Dwane showing off his newly shaved head - with his trademark full beard intact - was posted on Mumford & Sons' website on Monday (17Jun13), alongside a personal message from the star.
He writes, "Bear with a sore head! Thanks so much for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I'm home."
The Grammy Award winners have axed a handful of U.S. shows but are still on track to headline Britain's legendary Glastonbury festival on 30 June (13).
'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)' arrives in April.
The two awards have made for a great 72nd birthday present for the country music icon.
