Taylor Swift Turns 22, But Has Little Time To Celebrate

Taylor Swift turned 22 yesterday, the workaholic star celebrating in fitting style by stopping by the studio to carry on working on tracks for her upcoming fourth album. The star has been imperious ever since her debut single 'Tim MCGraw', named after the country singer, went in at 40 in the US Charts and turned platinum back in 2006. She's since released multiple singles in every year of her professional recording year since as well as three albums that have clocked up some 20 million sales worldwide combined, including two US Number Ones in 2008's 'Fearless' and last year's 'Speak Now'.

Swift elected to keep fans informed of her big day yesterday via social networking site Twitter, first posting "Best. Birthday. Ever. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. You made me feel really special today" (sic)to her near 10 million followers. Although hard at work for most of Tuesday, the star did have time to drop in to her record label Big MAChine where she posted photo evidence of her present from her contractors - an amazing looking cake completed with icing flowers - with the caption "Took a break from the studio to visit the label, where they gave me this!"

Though working on her new album, neither Swift nor her label have confirmed the title of it or the release date yet, though it is expected sometime in the later part of next year.
