Taylor Swift Named Entertainer Of The Year At Acm Awards
Elsewhere, Miranda Lambert won Best Album, for Four The Record as well as taking home the prize for Best Female Vocalist. "My albums are my babies," she said in her speech, "it's what makes me get up in the morning, so thank you so much." Her husband, and co-host Blake Shelton performed live during the ceremony and also won Best Male Vocalist. When Jason Aldean collected his award for Single of the Year, for 'Don't You Wanna Stay?' he said "I thought it needed a female vocalist on it and Kelly (Clarkson) was the first name that I threw out." Scotty Mccreery, the American Idol winner, won Best New Artist, giving an exuberant thank you.
The ceremony was kicked off with a bold performance from Carrie Underwood and other live performances included Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert as well as a duet between Tim Mcgraw and Kenny Chesney as well as the ZAC BROWN BAND.
