Taylor Lautner has signed up for 'Abduction'.

The 'Twilight: New Moon' actor has been attached to the action movie, in which he plays a boy who discovers his parents are not who they seem.

Upon figuring out why he has felt disconnected to his mother and father, the movie enters 'Bourne'-style action.

It is the latest in a string of action movies he has signed up to - Lautner is to play the lead in Universal's 'Stretch Armstrong' and Paramount's 'Max Steel'.

In an effort to make sure there is time for Lautner to star in 'Abduction', sources have told Deadline Hollywood the studio Lionsgate are hurrying to find a director and finish off the script in time for July.

Lautner recently turned 18, and instead of promoting his latest movie 'Valentine's Day', which had its UK premiere on the same day, he took some time off from the Hollywood scene.

He said: "I'll spend time with family and friends... I don't like to do anything huge, but it is 18, so, it's kind of a big one I guess."
