Taye Diggs Born With 12 Fingers
Actor Taye Diggs underwent surgery as a youngster after he was born with 12 fingers.
The Private Practice star, who is married to Glee star Idina Menzel, came out of the womb with an extra digit on each hand.
Doctors removed the extra fingers, and Diggs reveals his parents requested the procedure so he wouldn't face ridicule as he grew up.
He says, "I know you guys are thinking that I'm kidding. As a child I had an extra digit on each hand, and I remember my mom told me, they (the doctors) asked her if she wanted to let the digit grow or to remove it, and they removed it - but I could have been really handy."
