Tara Palmer-tomkinson Proud To Get Royal Wedding Invite

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was "really proud" to have been invited to the wedding of Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The British socialite was one of a number of famous faces who attended the glamorous nuptials on April 29, and although she admits there was a lot of attention on the day, she still managed to enjoy herself.

She said: "There was a lot of pressure on everyone - guests included - to make the day perfect for Will and Kate, and I'm just so proud to have been a part of it all."

Tara - whose family are friends with William's father Prince Charles - was well placed during the ceremony at London's Westminster Abbey, and she admits she struggled to hold back tears when she saw the romantic vows.

Writing for Britain's Marie Claire magazine, she revealed: "When it came to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, William placed my family - all nine of us - at The Front so we could see everything. I managed to control my tears until William and Harry arrived. And then Kate emerged. She's always been a calm person but that day she was more graceful and relaxed than I've ever seen her.
