Take That To Continue After Robbie Williams' Departure

A representative for Take That has confirmed the group will continue as a four-piece following the departure of Robbie Williams.

The singer rejoined his former bandmates last year (10) to make an album and take part in their Progress Live shows, marking his return to the road with the band for the first time in 15 years.

The gigs came to an end in July (11) and Williams is now back working on solo material.

His departure was confirmed by bandmate Gary Barlow in an interview with Britain's Radio Times, with the singer saying, "We're all happy. The fans have come along and been happy... Now Rob's doing a solo record, and from this point it's back to where it was. It ended perfectly. And you know what, we can revisit it whenever we want.

"He's our brother, Rob is, and if he's ever in trouble or he wants to have a year off being Robbie Williams, he's welcome any time he wants."

Barlow's comments sparked speculation about the future of the band, but a spokesperson has revealed the group is currently on hiatus, but will continue in the future.

The representative says, "Rumours about Take That splitting today - completely untrue. They are on a break - Gary is on (Britain's) X Factor and Robbie is working on his new album."
