Swinton Dreams Of Becoming A Sleeping Art Exhibit Again
The actress famously spent eight hours a day, seven days a week sleeping in a glass box as part of The Maybe exhibit at the Serpentine Gallery in London, and then spent five months recovering before taking the art show to Rome, Italy.
Now she's ready to become an exhibit again.
She tells art magazine Tar, "I still want to make that piece again... I got shingles and I was very ill for five months after it. And I do think it had something to do with the strain of endurance.
"I think it had a lot to do with just the kinetic energy... of being looked at by 22,000 people over the course of a week."
And Swinton admits she almost returned to the art world as a pregnant woman: "I wanted to make it (The Maybe) again when I discovered I was expecting twins, but I thought that might be a little bit dicey.
"I loved the idea of these double encasements, making it while pregnant."
