Susan Sarandon Never Thought She'd Split From Tim Robbins

Susan Sarandon, the Academy Award winning actress, has admitted that she never thought she's split from her long-term partner Tim Robbins. In an interview with British newspaper The Telegraph, the 64-year-old spoke of the public's surprise at the breakup, saying, "People were coming up to me in the street and saying 'I cried and cried when I heard'", before adding, "Well, I was sadder! I didn't think it would ever happen, either".

Sarandon and actor Robbins were in a relationship from 1986 to 2009, and the couple had two sons together, Jack Henry, and Miles Guthrie. Since parting ways with the star of 'The Shawshank Redemption', Sarandon has been romantically linked to her 31-year-old business partner Jonathan Bricklin but speaking about the pair's relationship the actress simply said, "You have to have a sense of humour. There are lots of people in my life at the moment."

Sarandon is perhaps best known for her performance in Ridley Scott'S 1991 road-movie 'Thelma & Louise', in which she starred alongside Geena Davis, but her career peaked in 1995 when she won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in 'Dead Man Walking'. Her most recent movie role was in Oliver Stone'S 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps'.
