Susan Sarandon - Susan Sarandon Joins Anti-fracking Promo
Hollywood stars Susan Sarandon and Maggie Gyllenhaal have joined forces to shoot a special music video calling for officials in New York to ban fracking.
The Thelma & Louise actress and the Secretary star took part in a promo for a new version of Yoko Ono's son Sean Lennon's track Don't Frack My Mother, alongside other famous faces including Liv Tyler and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
It was written as the campaign song for the growing U.S. movement against the controversial hydraulic drilling procedure, which opponents allege can contaminate water supplies.
Supporters of the Artists Against Fracking campaign group, set up by Ono and Lennon last year (12), are calling on New York governor Andrew Cuomo to extend an already existing ban on fracking in New York state.
Robert De Niro, Sir Paul MCCartney, and Alec Baldwin are also backing the anti-fracking movement in the U.S.
