Susan Boyle is Having Fun On Set, But Is Very Cold!
Susan Boyle on the set of her first film
The perils of filming in winter; it’s not all glitz and glamour on film sets, especially when the temperatures drop. And Susan Boyle is learning this the hard way while filming for her first big-screen performance.
She will appear opposite Les Miserables star Samantha Barks in period film The Christmas Candle. Barks, like Boyle, found fame thanks to a TV talent show. She was a runner-up on BBC programme I’d Do Anything. "Everyone on set is a delight to work with and it's a fantastic experience to be part of the team," Boyle said in a statement."I'm really enjoying getting dressed in the period costumes and stepping back in time and although it's very cold filming on location - I'm wearing long johns under my bustle." As of yet, it is unknown what part Boyle will be playing in the film. Sylvester McCoy, John Hannah, Barbara Flynn and James Cosmo are also in the cast and filming started on the Isle of Man this week. The film’s plot revolves around the tale of angel that visits the village candle maker every 25 years, and will no doubt be aiming for a restive release.
