Superspy Damon Tops U.s. Chart With Bourne Ultimatum

THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM has spied its way to the top of the U.S. box-office chart, knocking animated contender The Simpsons down to number two.
The Matt Damon sequel thrilled American audiences to net $70.2 million (GBP35.1 million) in its opening weekend, while The Simpsons took in $25.6 million (GBP12.8 million).
Comedy Underdog debuts at three with $12 million (GBP6 million) and Adam Sandler's I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry falls two places to four with $10.5 million (GBP5.25 million).
Hairspray, starring John Travolta, drops a position to five with $9.3 million (GBP4.65 million) and the magic continues to wane for Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, which falls from three to six.
