Supergrass Side-project 'Planning Album'

by | 14 October 2008

SUPERGRASS frontman Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey are working on a side-project together, according to the drummer.

The band released their latest album DIAMOND HOO HAA in March, but Gaz and Danny also toured as THE DIAMOND HOO HA MEN, after bassist Mickey Quinn hurt his back on tour.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music about the album, Danny said: "It's classified, honestly really it is. We just got back to Australia so we've been doing a little tour with Supergrass. We're doing a little Diamond Hoo Ha album, just me and Gaz, but I can't really say what it is."

The band were recently joined by ED HARCOURT during a collaborations gig at O2's new club Matter, but Danny said it is unlikely to lead to them working together in the studio

"I doubt it, he's too busy. He's too high profile as well," he said.

Other artists who performed at the O2 event included MARK RONSON, THE VIEW and PATRICK WOLF.
