Superbad's Hill For Gervais Filmby Contributor | 07 February 2008
Jonah Hill has been added to the cast of Ricky Gervais' upcoming comedy This Side of the Truth.
Superbad star Hill joins Jennifer Garner and Rob Lowe in the Warner Bros movie, set in a world where lying doesn't exist.
Gervais plays average guy Mark in the picture, whose newfound ability to tell untruths allow him to seduce Garner, playing a woman far out of his league.
Set to begin production in April, This Side of the Truth marks Gervais' feature directing debut.
The Office star co-helms with Matt Robinson, who also co-wrote the script.
Hill is to star as Mark's depressive neighbour, while US stand-up Louis CK - star of HBO's Lucky Louis - is to play Mark's best friend.
Having recently completed voice work on Dr Seuss adaptation Horton Hears A Who!, Hill will next be seen in Apatow Productions' Forgetting Sarah Marshall, alongside Knocked Up co-stars Jason Segel and Paul Rudd, as well as Veronica Mars actress Kristen Bell and Russell Brand.
Gervais will next be seen as the oddly-named Bertram Pincus in Ghost Town, David Koepp's fantastical comedy about a miraculously-revived man whose sudden ability to see ghosts quickly becomes a hindrance.
Greg Kinnear, Tea Leoni and Kristen Wiig co-star in the film, set to open on September 19th.
