Suge Knight - Suge Knight's 'Rise To Power' Subject Of Showtime Documentary

Suge Knight, the hugely controversial founder of Death Row Records, is the subject of a new feature-length documentary to be produced and aired on Showtime, according to The Wrap.com. The movie, tentatively titled 'Suge Knight', will be directed by 'Training Day' filmmaker Antoine Fuqua.
The cable network says the documentary will be the first of several films spotlighting, "iconic and controversial figures from talented and prestigious filmmakers". Bradley J. Fischer, best known for his work on 'Black Swan' and 'Shutter Island', will co-produce the movie. In a statement, Fischer promised the film would be a warts-and-all documentary, similar to those Knight has shied away from in the past. The producer said, "Suge Knight's reputation and rise to power in the music business has become the stuff of legend, and he remains one of the entertainment industry's most provocative and enduring myths", adding, "But while his name elicits an immediate and powerful reaction from people around the world, very few can legitimately claim to know the man". Knight's volatile career has included several arrests and numerous prison sentences. He briefly appeared in Nick Broomfield's 2002 documentary 'Biggy & Tupac' during which some individuals claimed he had orchestrated the murder of Tupac Shakur.
The forthcoming movie will feature a soundtrack spearheaded by Suge Knight's new music company 'Black Kapital'.
