Suede - Suede, Peter Gabriel And Primal Scream Owed Money From U.k. Festival

Suede, Peter Gabriel and Primal Scream are among the acts who were left out of pocket following the collapse of a U.K. rock festival company last year (12).

Music Festivals plc, the company behind events such as the Hop Farm Festival in Kent, England and Benicassim in Spain, went into administration last November (12) and a new report has revealed details of the firm's creditors.

Acts who appeared at the 2012 Hop Farm Festival are on the list, which was obtained by British newspaper Kent on Sunday and relates to subsidiary company Kent Festival Ltd.

Creditors include rockers Suede, who are owed $73,600 (£46,000), and Gabriel, who has a $160,000 (£100,000) payment outstanding.

Other acts who are owed money are Primal Scream, former The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft, Damien Rice, Billy Ocean, Kool & The Gang and George Clinton.

The total amount owed in relation to the Hop Farm event is listed as $7.7 million (£4.8 million).

However, festival organiser Vince Power hopes to have the problems resolved so the Hop Farm Festival can take place again this summer (13).
