Hip-hop producer SCOTT STORCH is facing legal action for more than $550,000 (GBP275,000), after failing to repay a $100,000 (GBP50,000) loan he received in 2003.
LA Confidential owner David Menefield filed the lawsuit against Storch and his production company Tuff Jew Productions in the United States Central District Court last Wednesday (09May07) - claiming the Lean Back hitmaker had not fulfilled his promise to repay the loan.
According to the papers, Storch had agreed to be solely responsible for the borrowed money, which his company Tuff Enough Productions had received when he was facing foreclosure on his home.
He had also promised to deliver four songs to Menefield, who is the former manager of rapper Knocturnal.
Menefield tells AllHipHop.com, "I wish it didn't have to come to this."
In 2006, Rolling Stone magazine estimated Storch's fortune at $70 million (GBP35 million). He is best known for his work with stars including 50 Cent, R. Kelly, The Game and Beyonce Knowles.
