Playwright SIR TOM STOPPARD is so concerned about audience feedback of his new Broadway show VOYAGE, he is reportedly quizzing members of the audience who leave the theatre early. The drama, set in pre-revolutionary Russia, follows a group of intellectuals, journalists, philosophers and their friends in their attempt to topple the tsar in the name of freedom. The play has attracted a mixed response and Stoppard is so determined to know why people don't like it - he stops people exiting New York's Vivien Beaumont Theatre to ask them their views. A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "Stoppard stands by the doors, identifies himself as the writer and asks if they are leaving because the play is boring."
