Stones Lawyer Dead At 65
Gerald Margolis was 65 when he died at a health centre in Santa Monica, California on 15 September (08).
As well as representing the Stones and Williams, Margolis, who coined the famous "Don't ignore the media" catchphrase, also provided counsel to R. Kelly in his recent child pornography trial. The soul singer was vindicated this summer (08).
Among his big court wins, Margolis defended Mick Jagger and Keith Richards over alleged copyright infringement by the Rolling Stones.
