Stones Album Signed By The Band + The Beatles To Go Under The Hammer
An autographed copy of the ROLLING STONES' BLACK AND BLUE album is expected to fetch more than $10,000 (GBP5,000) at a U.K. auction - because it is also signed by THE BEATLES. The CD, originally released in 1976, was previously purchased by a British man for just $6 (GBP3) at a garage sale. The disc also features the autographs of John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono and Sir Paul MCCartney's late first wife, Linda, and is believed to have been signed to celebrate guitarist Ronnie Wood joining the Rolling Stones that year. Woods was brought in to replace original member Mick Taylor, reports Gigwise.com. The LP is now set to collect upwards of $10,000 when it goes under the hammer at Bamfords Auctioneers in Derbyshire, England on Wednesday (20Feb08).
