Stone Roses Return With Triumphant Barcelona Gig
Iconic British rockers the Stone Roses officially kicked off their reunion tour with a triumphant gig in Barcelona, Spain on Friday night (08Jun12).
Ian Brown and bandmates John Squire, Alan 'Reni' Wren and Gary 'Mani' Mounfield wowed fans with a 14-song set over 90 minutes at the Razzmatazz club.
Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher - a longtime Stone Roses fan - was in the audience for the historic gig, marking the official start of the band's first tour in more than 15 years.
The quartet performed a free warm-up show in Warrington, England last month (May12), which was also attended by Gallagher.
The group kicked off the Spanish show with I Wanna Be Adored and belted out classic tunes including Fools Gold, She Bangs The Drums and Made Of Stone.
They ended the comeback gig with a 10-minute long version of I Am The Resurrection.
